VIDEO: Love Is Blind Stars Lauren and Cameron Hamilton Expecting Baby After Four Years of Trying IVF

Since the show began, Love Is Blind has featured many contestants, but most have not found the romance they were searching for. However, one of the biggest success stories from the series belongs to Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton. Now, the couple has just announced that they’re expecting a bundle of joy after multiple years of trying to conceive.

Lauren, 37, and Cameron, 34, appeared on the first season of Love Is Blind. This happened in 2018, and they tied the knot in November of that year despite the show not airing until almost two years later.

Recently, Lauren and Cameron took to Instagram to post a super well-thought-out pregnancy announcement. The video begins with a voiceover that says, “In a world where love is blind, two strangers took a leap of faith. They built a home, a life, a legacy, but one question remained.”

As the voiceover plays, the video shows footage of them from the show as well as photos of their life together, including what looks to be IVF treatments.

Then, there’s a barrage of social media comments asking when they plan to expand their family. After that, Cameron says, “Should we just tell them?” Lauren replies, “Nah, let’s draw it out. It’s good for engagement.” From there, the announcement is dramatic in the cutest way possible. As dramatic music plays, the video shows their IVF journey and their overall planning for their future together.

Finally, they reveal that “Baby Hamilton” will be arriving in the fall of 2025. In the end, Cameron asks, “So, do babies come with instructions?” Lauren then says, “No, just Google and prayers. Oh, and ChatGPT.”

The couple also posted pictures of themselves with the ultrasound images. They captioned the post, “The moment that changed everything. After 4 years of prayers, patience, and a whole lot of love… seeing the word PREGNANT on our @Clearblue test made it real! Now we finally get to share this joy with all of you.”

They also gave an exclusive interview to PEOPLE. Cameron told the outlet, “We were counting down the day till we could test because we did IVF [in vitro fertilization]. We knew, okay, this is the day that we’re going to do the test. Of course, we’re going in for a blood test later that day, but we couldn’t wait any longer.”

The soon-to-be father continued, “We did the classic test, and we both went into the bathroom to look at the Clearblue test, and it was face down. We flipped it over. We saw the word pregnant, and that was just a huge moment to actually see the word pregnant on the test. It was a…”

Lauren chimed in, “A relief because, well, we’ve taken a few pregnancy tests, and when you use the ones with the lines, it could be anxiety-driven because it’s like, ‘Is that what I think?’ So seeing the word pregnant, it was amazing. We just looked at each other. I fell to my knees and cried.”

She went on, “It’s been a long time coming. We’ve literally been trying to get pregnant for four years.” Lauren then opened up about losing her father around Christmas last year and then getting the positive result earlier this year. She said, “I lost my father [at] Christmas of last year. And so we took this test the end of January, beginning of February, so this was literally light in the darkness. This was like, wow. The spark that my whole family needed. We’ve been trying for a long time.”

She continued, “It was a little bittersweet because my dad’s not here physically to be with us, but we know that he’s watching over us. So it was just like, ‘Wow, I can’t believe this.’ We just felt so blessed, so grateful and happy, excited. Then it hit like, ‘We’re going to be parents. Oh my God.’”

Lauren also reflected on their IVF journey and how supportive Cameron was during the process. She explained, “He’s just been so great, so patient and just awesome. I’m so blessed to have a partner like him.”

They also shared what they’re looking forward to in terms of becoming parents. According to Lauren, “I am looking forward to, first off, just holding the baby and hearing that first cry, but also just reliving my childhood through the baby, doing all the fun stuff.” She added, “Disney on Ice, the zoo. Being a big kid again and seeing it through their eyes is going to be amazing.”

Cameron said, “I think, of course, in the beginning stages, just being with the baby, I mean it doesn’t have to be anything in particular at first. I think about when my dad, when they brought me back home from the hospital that first night, I slept on my dad’s chest, so maybe we can keep that tradition going.”

Congrats to the future parents. Fans can follow their baby journey on The Love Seat podcast.
