The Valley Season 2 left off with major discussions about Nia and Danny Booko’s marriage as a few of their friends believed they were faking a picture-perfect life. Nia grew upset that Brittany Cartwright and Jasmine Goode talked about her marriage behind her back and assuming Danny may have a drinking problem, calling him “Dark Side Danny.”
After a girl’s dinner, the women learn that Nia wasn’t the perfect pageant queen, having a difficult upbringing. While this dinner appeared to mend the women’s relationship, Jasmine still had her doubts about Danny after she experienced disrespectful drunken behavior she was having a hard time letting go of.
Jasmine Goode Is “Triggered” By Danny Booko’s Dark Side
The Valley Episode 7 begins with Jasmine Goode and her girlfriend, Melissa Marie, discussing Danny Booko’s “dark side,” which comes out when he has had too much to drink. As viewers learned from previous episodes, Jasmine had a really disrespectful encounter with Danny last Halloween when he inappropriately touched her and Melissa. Jasmine shared that she was still “triggered” from the moment despite Danny having profusely apologized.
Michelle Saniei and Nia Booko meet up for a playdate with their kids, and the moment Michelle’s daughter Isabella grabs Nia’s son Asher’s hand, it’s easily the sweetest thing we’ve seen all season. Michelle tells Nia about what happened at the girl’s dinner when she left, stating that Jasmine was still bothered by Danny’s actions. Meanwhile, Michelle is looking forward to moving on from the drama between her and Jesse Lally, even mentioning that she wants to marry her new beau, Aaron Nosler.
We then see Jason Caperna, Luke Broderick, and Danny Booko meeting up for burgers, and again Danny’s drinking is the hot topic of conversation. Jason brings up the moment Danny took a swig of tequila in the pantry while they were in Santa Barbara, and the group quickly jumps to the conclusion that he must be hiding something. Danny insists it was harmless, but Jason keeps pressing him. Interestingly, Jason didn’t seem to think it was a big deal at the time, which leads Danny to suspect that Janet might be the one stirring the pot.

“It makes me feel like something bigger is going on,” Jason tells Danny, who is completely and utterly stunned. Jason then adds that Jasmine is still “triggered” by Halloween, and Danny admits he’ll speak to her about it and do whatever he can to fix the situation. However, Jason continues to tell him that his apology wasn’t enough. “I feel like there’s a target on my back, and it’s making me question my friendship with Jason,” Danny admits to the cameras.
Jax Taylor Gives Fans An Update Inside Rehab, Brittany Cartwright Doesn’t See Any Change
We got an update from Jax Taylor, who has been in an inpatient facility seeking professional help for his mental health. Now 17 days in, he shares that he will get to see his son, Cruz, for the first time. He gets emotional on camera talking about him. “He’s my life. I couldn’t sleep last night because I get to see him for an hour,” he shares. He also admits he wants to “apologize” to Brittany, calling the experience “eye-opening.”
At her rental house, Brittany opens up to her mom, Kristen Doute, and Luke about seeing Jax at the facility. The conversation takes a turn when she reveals that Jax had secretly removed the covers from their home’s security cameras without telling her so he could monitor her every move. Brittany also shares that Jax plans to move out of their former shared home and into a condo that, coincidentally, is right next door to Vanderpump Rules alum Tom Schwartz.
“I feel like he’s going back to his party days and wants to relive those pre-Brittany days and I think it is sad. You’re a father, and you’re 45 years old.”
Danny meets with Jasmine and Melissa in an effort to make amends. Jasmine opens up about the challenges of being in a same-sex relationship, explaining that men often don’t take it seriously. “I need him to understand how I felt and how this happens to me on a daily basis,” she shares in a confessional. It becomes clear to Danny that this isn’t just about offering an apology, it’s about acknowledging a deeper, ongoing struggle.
“I didn’t really put myself in their shoes,” he tells the cameras. “I would never objectify them in a way that they would, may be triggered by, that made me feel horrible.”
After their discussion, things appear to be on good terms with them, and we can hopefully move on.
Kristen Doute Makes An Allegation About Jason Caperna
Kristen, Luke and Jesse go out for lunch, with Luke sharing how his boy’s meet-up went earlier. Luke was really shocked to see Jason so “worked up” over Danny’s alleged drinking issues. “Jason’s in no space to be judging anyone’s relationship,” Kristen adds in. “Keep your wedding ring on all the time and then start talking.”
“When Jason goes out, he takes his wedding ring off.”
Despite the rumors, there’s no confirmed evidence that Jason has been unfaithful to Janet. Jesse sees this as a lousy allegation that should be put to rest. Luke also thinks that this wasn’t a very smart move by Kristen, who only wants to spread this rumor because of Janet and Jason attacking Danny and Nia’s marriage.
The group gather at Brittany’s rental for a shark-themed party. Jason admits that he’s “nervous” to see Danny after realizing that he was “a little too hard” on him. Jason and Danny sit down and the former apologizes for how he spoke to him. In a confessional, Nia believes that Janet sent her husband to be her “attack dog,” and even questions her friendship with her.
VPR’s Lala Kent makes a guest appearance and quickly gets filled in on the drama—specifically, that Jesse called Michelle a “whore” and a “slut” during the Santa Barbara trip. Lala wastes no time confronting Jesse at the party. In a confessional, Jesse admits that calling his ex-wife “a lying, cheating whore” was a “moment of weakness.” However, he walks back only the “whore” part, saying he still believes she’s a liar and a cheater. So really, there’s little sign of growth here.
“You’re mean to my friend, I think you’re toxic, I think you’re a narcissist, and I’m happy I don’t have to deal with you,” Lala tells him.
Jason is then seen confronting Kristen and Luke about the wedding ring rumor. He learns that it was Jasmine that may have started the rumor, which is really sad given that he just had her back on the whole Danny situation. Kristen isn’t sorry for bringing up the rumor, she wants to protect her friends and doesn’t care if she hurts Janet in the process.
Kristen tells Janet and Jason that this is all just retaliation for how they attacked Nia and Danny.
In another scene, Brittany delivers the news that Jax plans to buy a condo, leaving her to pay the mortgage on their shared house and her rental house. She wants them all to see that he has not changed one bit by calling him out on this.
“Rehab absolutely did nothing for Jax.”
Brittany reveals that Jax hasn’t been paying the mortgage on their home for months, putting her at risk of having to sell her dream house. At this point, he’s ruined far more than just their marriage. Brittany admits she’s done with him and is inching closer to filing for divorce.
