The holiday weekend marked another proud-parent moment for Heather Dubrow.

Heather Dubrow, a cast member of the reality TV show The Real Housewives of Orange County, took to social media on Friday, May 27, to give followers a glimpse of her daughter Kat Dubrow’s high school graduation celebration. In an Instagram post, Heather posted a video of herself in the kitchen, adding gemstones to Kat’s mortarboard.

“This is what mothers do when their daughters say they need their [graduation] cap bedazzled at 6 a.m.,” Heather said with a laugh. “Graduation day!”

The OC ’Wife then picked up the cap to show off her progress. She personalized the piece with the letter “Y,” a nod to Kat’s college pick, Yale University.

Several days after the graduation, Heather posted a series of photos and videos from the ceremony. One shot showed Kat holding her cap and gown, and another captured the 18-year-old walking across the commencement stage to receive her diploma. There was also a photo of Kat and her classmates doing the traditional cap toss, and a snap of the Dubrows posing beside a “2025” marquee. The latter slide featured Heather’s husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow; their oldest children, twins Nick and Max Dubrow; and their youngest child, son Ace Dubrow. 

Heather also shared photos from Kat’s graduation party at the ultra-chic Hotel Bel-Air. The event featured gorgeous tablescapes with peach and pink floral centerpieces, sage green tablecloths, and customized pencils that served as guest placecards. 

“Wow! What an incredible weekend celebrating Katarina ! So emotional, special and fun !” Heather captioned the Instagram post. “Congratulations my baby on graduating High School! We all love you so much and are so proud of how hard you’ve worked ! This is only the beginning.”

The party’s color scheme carried over into Kat’s graduation cake — a beautiful two-tiered design with light green frosting, a cap and diploma topper, and a metallic film reel, which was a reference to Kat’s intended college major.

The RHOBH daughter announced her college selection back in April, confirming she was attending her dad’s Ivy League alma mater. Kat has decided to major in film studies, which her mom teased during a 2024 interview with BravoTV.com.

Heather spoke about Kat’s new chapter in a recent chat with Us Weekly, and addressed the online claims that she and Terry secured their daughter’s college acceptance by “donating” to Yale University.

“Oh God, listen — that ship sailed a long time ago,” Heather said, adding that Kat got into school on her own merit. “Even if I wanted to pay, that’s not a thing.

She continued: “I’ll tell you a quick story. When the twins got into kindergarten, that process of private school kindergarten was so ridiculous to me and upsetting and it gave me so much anxiety [that I said], ‘I’m never doing this again.’ So I told all the kids when they got to high school, ‘If you want choices, study, and here’s your guidance counselor and do your best. I’ll be your cheerleader, but I’m not fighting with you. This is your life. It’s up to you.’ And that’s exactly what we’ve done.”
