Inside the Surprising Way Sean 'Diddy' Combs Is Still Making Millions During His Trial

Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently facing mounting legal challenges as multiple lawsuits and federal investigations draw intense public and media scrutiny. Allegations ranging from sexual assault to human trafficking have surfaced in recent months, prompting raids on his properties and casting a shadow over his once untouchable empire. As his trial continues, those watching assume Combs can’t make any money while behind bars. However, he has a surprising way of making income despite his legal troubles.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has a side hustle while on trial — and it’s raking in millions

Sean “Diddy” Combs has long been known for living large, and nothing exemplifies his high-flying lifestyle more than his private Gulfstream jet. The sleek, customized aircraft has become a symbol of his wealth and influence, ferrying the hip-hop mogul across the globe for business meetings, performances, and personal getaways. Outfitted with luxury amenities and reportedly valued in the tens of millions, the jet is more than just a mode of transport — it’s a mobile statement of status.

Now that Combs is on trial, he’s not flying his Gulfstream jet. However, he’s still finding a way to make money off of it. According to The U.S. Sun, the luxury rental operator Silver Air is renting Combs’ plane as a “luxury aircraft.” Customers who rent the plane have no idea it belongs to Combs.

As of May 20, the plane has been rented 126 times total, and around every other day. It has traveled 149,540 miles since Silver Air began renting it. Customers pay nearly $33,000 for a flight. In total, Combs has earned over $4 million from renting his jet.

The hip-hop mogul offered to sell his plane in a $50 million bail package

Sean “Diddy” Combs put forward a $50 million bail proposal before trial. He backed the proposal with his Miami Beach estate and strict conditions, including house arrest, electronic monitoring, and limited contact with potential witnesses. However, the judges repeatedly rejected his bids. Judges reviewing the case expressed serious concerns about the possibility of witness intimidation and broader risks to public safety, ultimately determining that no set of restrictions could adequately protect the community or preserve the fairness of the legal proceedings.

According to Rolling Stone, Combs was also trying to sell his private plane at this time. “Just this weekend, Mr. Combs entered into a Letter of Intent with a party to sell it,” the court documents read. “Mr. Combs understands he is not to travel to Los Angeles, where the plane had been located this week, and further that the plane is not to be brought to any District in which he is located until it is sold.”

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs appears to have trouble selling his sprawling Beverly Hills estate

Sean “Diddy” Combs listed his Beverly Hills mega-mansion for sale for $61.5 million. The 17,000-square-foot estate boasts 10 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, luxury amenities, and 1.3 level acres of land. Unfortunately, Combs appears to be having a tough time finding a buyer while on trial.

Kurt Rappaport, the listing agent for Combs’ mansion, told DailyMail.com that he had “no comment” about the situation. Another real estate agent told the publication that agents don’t want any public association with the place, thus why they’re keeping out of the press.

“I wish I could help, but no agents want to touch that house or be in any stories related to the case or the listing,” the agent said.
