SAVANNAH, Ga. () — From the diamonds and fields to the graduation stage. Graduate Jacques King says without his support system, he wouldn’t be where he is today.

Baseball and football player Jacques King is graduating and continuing his passion for sports in college.

“It’s fun when you’re like you’re actually learning stuff you want to learn about and you’re actually enjoying the material. So, to be able to do that and also go play baseball, the sport, I love to do both of those at the same time. I’m going to enjoy that a lot, especially at la grange. The campus I got told it was beautiful, the classrooms were beautiful,” King stated.

The Effingham County graduate credits his success to his determination and support system.

“Partying with my friends, going out with my friends. That’s definitely a sacrifice, being on the game, you know, staying up late. You’ve got to sacrifice a lot of that stuff to be great and be good at what you do, because it comes. It comes at a cost,” King expressed.

“I would like to make it to the major league for baseball. But, you know, if that doesn’t work out, it’s a pretty, like, slim chance. But I would like to be a real estate agent somewhere on the water. I love the water. So, I would love to sell houses somewhere, like on a beachfront. I love that,” King explained.
