Commonwealth Bank app and NetBank customers are unable to transfer money or pay someone due to an issue affecting the system.

The bank said it was working on an issue affecting transfers from customers’ accounts this afternoon.

“You may be unable to make transfers between your accounts or pay someone using PayID or BSB and account number in NetBank and the CommBank app,” the bank said.

“Thanks for your patience. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”

When attempting to transfer, customers are seeing a pop-up that reads: “Something’s gone wrong. Try again a little later.”

About 400 customers have reported the issue on DownDetector.

The bank said customers can still make payments using their cards and use ATMs.
