Gigi and Bella Hadid recently confirmed they have a secret half-sister, Aydan Nix.

After first connecting with Aydan, 23, a fashion designer and stylist, in 2023, Gigi, 30, and Bella, 28, have gone public with the news of their new sibling, who their father, Mohamed Hadid, 76, conceived with Terri Hatfield Dull, who he briefly dated after his divorce from Gigi and Bella’s mom, Yolanda Hadid, 61, in 2001.

“Over 20 years ago, our dad, while single, had a brief relationship that led to a pregnancy,” Gigi and Bella told the Daily Mail in a May 29 statement, via Page Six. “Aydan was born and raised in Florida, growing up with the man she lovingly knew as her father until his sudden passing when she was 19.”

Following her father figure’s passing, Aydan “decided to take a genetic test out of curiosity,” and she learned of her “biological connection” to the models.

After making contact with Aydan in late 2023, Gigi and Bella “embraced [her] with open arms.” In fact, Aydan has reportedly “spent time” with the entire Hadid family, including biological father Mohamed.

“We’ve cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family,” Gigi and Bella shared. “As siblings, we’ve had many open and loving conversations — with Aydan included — about how to support and protect her.”

According to Gigi and Bella, Aydan and her family “value their privacy,” and they’ve asked the public to “honor her wish and right to her anonymity as she continues her life as a young woman in New York.”

According to the report, Mohamed and his former flame, Terri, who worked as a mortgage loan originator, split just before she learned of her pregnancy. However, Mohamed reportedly knew about Aydan and has been “cordial and pleasant” to her in recent years.

That said, Mohamed has allegedly not offered financial support to Aydan, nor has he publicly confirmed their ties.

“There’s mutual respect,” a family source explained. “But there’s also discretion.”

In addition to son Anwar Hadid, 25, who Mohamed shares with Yolanda, the real estate developer is also dad to two older daughters, Marielle Hadid, 44, and Alana Hadid, 39, who he shares with his first wife, Mary Butler.

After graduating from high school in Orlando, where she was an honor student and cheerleader and delivered for Domino’s, Aydan moved to New York City and graduated from the Parsons School of Design in Manhattan earlier this month.

Although Mohamed was allegedly expected to attend her graduation, he reportedly canceled.
