Dababy and Danileigh’s daughter, Velour, is officially headed to “big kid school”!

Taking to Snapchat on Saturday, DaniLeigh expressed how emotional the moment was for her.

“I am so grateful, I am so proud of her,” DaniLeigh said in the video. “She’s gotten so big. She’s so smart and so sweet. A whole personality. A whole vibe. My baby graduated. She’s going to go to regular school now. Big kids’ school. But I am just so proud of her.”

The singer shared that after graduation, Velour went with her dad, which gave her a little break.

Since welcoming Velour in 2021, DaniLeigh and DaBaby have worked through a rocky past to show up as co-parents. Though their relationship has had its share of public ups and downs, the two have shown they are committed to raising their daughter in a positive, loving environment.

Last August, both parents marked Velour’s third birthday with separate but equally special celebrations. DaniLeigh threw a Minnie Mouse-themed party, complete with pink décor and guests dressed to match the birthday girl, who wore a full Minnie costume.

“BIG 3-LO where does time goooo??? my little big baby girl. Happy Birthday, my princess !!!” she wrote in the caption.

DaBaby followed with a daddy-daughter day, taking Velour to see dolphins and treating her to a Target shopping spree. “Daddy Phat baby turnt 3 yesterday,” he captioned a video from their outing.

DaniLeigh and DaBaby were first linked in 2020 and split in 2021 following a brief and highly publicized relationship. Their breakup made headlines, especially after a livestreamed altercation in November 2021 ended with DaniLeigh being asked to leave DaBaby’s home.

Despite their rocky history, both artists have shown growth in recent years, putting their daughter first. In addition to Velour, DaBaby is also a father to three other daughters from previous relationships.
