CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — The Champaign Fire Department and Champaign Police Department are investigating after four different fires were reported around the city on Sunday.

The Champaign Fire Department said one fire was set near White and Neil Streets, one was found inside a dumpster near Chestnut and Market, and another two fires were found near the 200 block of Water Street.

The fire department was first notified about the fires around 6 p.m. They were all small and didn’t cause significant damage, according to the fire department, but now investigators are looking into how they started.

According to the Champaign Police Department, no arrests have been made as of Monday evening. Anyone with additional information is asked to call 217-351-4545 or Crime Stoppers at 217 -373-8477 (TIPS).
