() A United States judge has issued an order stopping the deportation of the wife and five children of alleged Boulder, Colorado, attacker Mohamed Soliman.

Soliman’s family had been taken by ICE earlier this week as the Department of Homeland Security continues to investigate whether Soliman’s family knew if he was planning the attack or provided support in any way.

“The court finds that deportation without process could work irreparable harm and an order must issue without notice due to the urgency this situation presents,” the judge said in the order.

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said Wednesday that the family was being processed for removal proceedings.

“This terrorist will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” she said in a part of a post on X. “We are investigating to what extent his family knew about this heinous attack, if they had knowledge of it, or if they provided support to it.”

Soliman told authorities that after his arrest, he had been planning the attack for a year. Authorities charged Soliman with a federal hate crime and attempted murder.

Soliman’s family members have not been charged in the attack from this past weekend. His wife, 18-year-old daughter, two minor sons and two minor daughters all are Egyptian citizens.
