CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — This upcoming week, the Champaign Farmers Market will be moving to a different, but familiar spot.

On Tuesday, June 10, the farmers market is moving to its former location at the southern end of the parking lot at the corner of Neil and Washington Streets, adjacent to the recently completed Downtown Plaza.

Hosted by The Land Connection, the Champaign Farmers Market will be held every Tuesday from Oct. 28 from 3-6 p.m. Also coming to the farmers market on June 10 is new musical programming from the City of Champaign – Rhythm and Roots on the Plaza’s main stage.

Outside of the live music, there will also be an experience tent, games to play and more for farmers market attendees.

“Both the City of Champaign and The Land Connection staff are excited to show off this new arrangement,” part of the press release states.

This year’s market is also a Downtown Festival District, which means adults can purchase alcoholic beverages from nearby participating businesses while shopping at the farmers market.
