Peacock will be taking viewers into the home of an alleged serial killer in the new three-part documentary series, The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets.

The gripping new documentary will dive into the alleged crimes and double life of Rex Heuermann, a former architect and Long Island resident who was arrested in connection with the crimes in July 2023. He has been linked to seven killings, though there are believed to be more.

While the Netflix documentary Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer unpacked how the Gilgo four were discovered and resulted in Heuermann’s arrest, The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets will offer unprecedented access into Heuermann’s personal life. This documentary brings viewers inside the suspect’s Long Island home, where his wife and kids will finally address whether or not they were aware of his alleged crimes.

“The question everyone keeps asking is, ‘How could you not know?’” his wife, Asa Ellerup, says in the trailer.

The official trailer from Peacock, which can be viewed at the top of this page, gives a chilling look at the inside of Heuermann’s home where he seemingly led a double life as a father, Manhattan architect, and alleged serial killer.

One chilling scene in the trailer shows Heuermann’s wife on the phone with him in jail. When he asks how she’s doing she replies, “I’m doing great now that I’ve got you on the phone.”

The documentary project hails from Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson’s G-Unit Film and Television, Texas Crew Productions, part of Pantheon Media Group, and New York Post Entertainment.
