() As the manhunt for Travis Decker moves into his fourth day, the intensity in apprehending him has intensified.

Authorities believe Decker may be traveling along the Pacific Crest Trail. Park officials closed a wide portion of hiking trails in the Lake Chelan National Recreation Area within the Cascade Range late Thursday as the search continued.

Earlier Thursday, officials closed the popular network of hiking trails known as the “Enchantments.” The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office has also advised residents in the county to lock their doors and remain vigilant.

In addition, digital search warrants have been executed on Decker’s electronics.

Travis Decker accused of killing his daughters

Decker is suspected of killing his three daughters in Chelan County. The sisters, ages 5, 8, and 9, were found earlier this week near Decker’s vehicle close to a campground west of Wenatchee, Washington. Their mother had reported them missing on Friday after Decker failed to return them from a planned visitation.

Police discovered a bloody handprint on Decker’s pick-up truck that appeared to be adult-sized. They believe the girls died from asphyxiation, according to court documents.

The three girls were allegedly found with their wrists zip-tied.

Decker was a former member of military

Decker, 32, was said to be homeless and a former member of the U.S. military with extensive training.

He joined the U.S. Army in 2013 and transferred to the Washington National Guard in 2021.

Decker was a full-time member of the National Guard until he reportedly switched to part-time around 2023 to 2024.

Decker wanted for alleged murder, kidnapping

Police said Decker is being sought on three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping.

A $20,000 reward has been offered for information leading to Decker’s arrest.
