Miley Cyrus once listed the seven things she hated about ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas in a breakup anthem, but there’s no lingering bad blood anymore.

“I like Nick. I’m into him. He’s, like, married with children,” Cyrus, 32, quipped on the Thursday, June 5, episode of The Ringer’s ” Every Single Album” podcast, referring to Jonas’ wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and daughter Malti Marie. “We’re all moving on. Everything is good in the world. ‘Niley’ for life!”

Cyrus and Jonas, 32, met when his eponymous Jonas Brothers band guest-starred on her Hannah Montana sitcom. Their romance, which inspired multiple songs including his band’s “Lovebug,” lasted from 2006 to 2007.

“He broke up with me before my concert, and I was distraught,” Cyrus recalled on Thursday’s episode. “My big sister, [Brandi Cyrus], was playing guitar for me on that tour. … I was in my bed sobbing, and she came in like a regular big sister [and] she’s like, ‘Um, 25,000 people are waiting for you to pull your s*** together.’”

Miley further joked that their mother, Tish Cyrus, likely sent Brandi, now 38, to dispense “bigger sister wisdom.”

“I knew that his career was going to propel [and] he was going to become [well-known as] the Jonas Brothers,” she added. “They were opening for me, and they wanted to go. That was part of the reason why we were breaking up, because he was going to go do his own tour. He was, like, separating himself from the Disney thing.”

Miley said that she wanted to join Nick and his brothers Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas on the road.

“I was like, ‘Why can’t we do it together?’ I had this idea of, like, ‘I don’t understand why you’re leaving me,’” she said. “I’m a stand by your man kind of lady, so that’s the thing that really got embedded into my brain from my mom. My mom and my dad, [Billy Ray Cyrus], were in a relationship for over 30 years that, you know, they probably knew date three was going to end up the way it is, but my mom’s a stand by your man kind of girl.”

Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend Maxx Morando is winning over her heart — and has the approval of her family. “[Miley’s mom] Tish [Cyrus] adores him and thinks they complement each other perfectly,” a source exclusively reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly, adding that Morando, 25, spends a lot of time with the Cyrus family. Billy Ray, 63, and Tish, 58, were married from 1993 to 2022, during which they welcomed Miley and siblings Braison and Noah. The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer, who is father to son Christopher from a past relationship, also adopted Tish’s kids Brandi and Trace.

Now divorced, Billy Ray and Tish have moved on with Elizabeth Hurley and Dominic Purcell, respectively. As for Miley, she has been happily dating drummer Maxx Morando since 2021 after her own divorce from actor Liam Hemsworth.
