Two of President Donald Trump’s cabinet secretaries who clashed with Elon Musk have become the most popular members of his team.

The pair had disagreements with Musk during his 130-day period at the White House as a special advisor to the president.

According to the most recent Daily Mail tracking poll conducted with J.L. Partners, Secretary of State Marco Rubio currently holds a 37 percent favorable rating. On the flip side, 35 percent of respondents view him unfavorably, while 29 percent have no opinion on the matter.

In March, Rubio and Musk reportedly was ‘incensed’ after Musk said he had fired ‘nobody’ in his agency, according to the New York Times.

In response, Rubio retaliated by highlighting that 1,500 State Department personnel opted for early retirement via buyouts. Furthermore, he outlined his strategy to revamp the State Department for enhanced efficiency.

Musk shot back, noting that Rubio was ‘good on TV’ but indicated that it was all for show.

‘Rubio never liked him, but a lot of them did not like him,’ a person familiar with the dynamics of the president’s cabinet told the Daily Mail.

The State Department dismissed the claim.

A senior State Department official told the Daily Mail, “Secretary Rubio is fully dedicated to advancing the President’s agenda for the American people and does not entertain trivial rumors. There is no room for such distractions.”

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent also has a positive net approval rating.

Nineteen percent of voters in the poll signaled approval for Bessent while 17 percent gave him an unfavorable approval rating. But 64 percent of voters in the poll noted they did not have an option of Bessent, or had never heard of him.

Bessent most notably clashed with Musk in a shouting match in the West Wing over Bessent’s choice to lead the IRS over Musk’s preferred choice.

Details of the disagreement leaked into the media, as both men reportedly shouted at each other as reports described the scene as ‘quite loud.’

Trump denied reports that Musk actually physically body-checked Bessent.

‘No, I didn’t. They did have an argument but I didn’t see a lot of physicality there,’ he said.

Musk leaves the White House with is approval ratings heavily damaged.

Although 34 percent still approve of Musk, 56 percent disapprove of him while just 10 percent do not have an option of him.

Despite their public feud that blew up last week, Trump said he still hoped they would get along.

I wish him well, you understand. We had a good relationship,’ he said Monday. ‘And I just wish him well. Very well actually.’

Thirty one percent of voters in the poll sided with Trump in the feud while just 23 percent sided with Musk.

In the feud between Trump and Musk, Republicans side with Trump over Musk 59/12.

Democrats side with Musk over Trump 35/10 and unaffiliated voters narrowly side with Trump 26/20.

The poll included 1,006 registered voters questioned on June 6, and had a 3.1 percent margin of error.
