CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has released a photo showing part of a tattoo on the leg of a dead body found in Fleming Island May 7.

CCSO is continuing to investigate remains found by a homeowner at the bulkhead of their property on the St. Johns River off Highway 17 around 5:07 p.m. that day.

The victim appeared to have multiple leg tattoos, and the picture shows what they believe to be a partial tattoo. They could not see the rest of the tattoo “based on the state of decomposition,” CCSO said.

The tattoo, which appears to be circles overlapping, is embedded below.

If you recognize this tattoo and may know this person, you can submit a tip through the SaferWatch app or call 904-264-6512.
