TAVARES, Fla. (WFLA) — Another person was arrested in an alleged illegal gambling operation related to the suspended Osceola County Sheriff Marcos Lopez, NBC affiliate WESH said.

Sheldon Wetherholt, 58, of Citrus County, was arrested on Tuesday by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at 11:08 p.m. and booked into the Lake County Jail.

According to the Lake County Jail, Wetherholt was charged with racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering.

Wetherholt made his first appearance Wednesday morning, where a judge set his bond for the two charges at $100,000.

If released, Wetherholt is required to wear a GPS monitor.

Wetherholt was a manager of the Fusion Social Club LLC on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, the same address where prosecutors allege the co-defendants operated an illegal gambling house for two years, according to state business records obtained by WESH.

Two other co-defendants, Sharon Fedrick and Carol Tate, were also arrested last week, but have been released on bond, WESH said.

Ying Zhang, another co-defendant, is still wanted.

Lopez was arrested on Thursday, June 5, and charged with racketeering and conspiracy to commit racketeering.

According to Attorney General James Uthmeier, the organization made over $21.6 million in illegal earnings.

A judge granted Lopez a $1 million bond with conditions that he wear a GPS monitor and surrender his passport and firearms.

A hearing related to Lopez’s bond was canceled on Tuesday.
