Lewis disclosed that she had been fighting breast cancer for two years on October 2, 2020. She pleaded with the public to undergo cancer screenings as soon as possible, claiming that her dislike of mammography caused a delayed diagnosis.

After six years, she revealed on October 15, 2024, that her illness had advanced to stage IV. Lewis stated in 2024 that her goal “was to get out excessive toxins in my body” in response to medical treatment for her disease. I know that my body is intelligent, yet I still feel that way. Our bodies are exquisitely constructed. I decided to preserve my tumor and attempt to remove it from my body in a different manner.

 

 

Who Was Ananda Lewis?

 

On March 21, 1973, Ananda Lewis was born in Los Angeles, California, in the United States.

She was a social activist, former model, carpenter, and television host from the United States. From the late 1990s until 2001, she was an MTV VJ. She then left the network to host The Ananda Lewis Show, a syndicated television chat show. From 2004 to 2005, she worked as a correspondent for The Insider. She later pursued a career in carpentry. She was the host of TLC’s 2019 While You Were Out revival.

She graduated with a cum laude degree in 1995 from Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she majored in history.

She is married to Harry Smith, and they both have a son named Langston, born in 2011

Lewis joined the nationally syndicated, nightly entertainment show The Insider, a spin-off of the well-liked Entertainment Tonight, in 2004 as its chief correspondent on celebrity topics.
