A Nigerian cleric, Prophet Omoto-Fufeyin, has stirred online reactions after unveiling what he describes as a “spiritual ATM card,” which is reportedly being sold to members for $20.

The unusual development surfaced in a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE, featuring a video of the prophet addressing his congregation. In the clip, he holds up the card during a sermon, explaining its spiritual significance while comparing it to conventional banking cards.

According to the preacher, the spiritual ATM card is designed to deliver special spiritual blessings and access to divine favour, much like how a bank card gives access to financial resources. His congregation listened attentively as he passionately outlined the benefits of the card.

The video also displays the alleged price of the card, with a visible $20 tag, sparking criticism and debate among viewers online.

While some defended the prophet’s innovation as an act of faith, others expressed skepticism, questioning the authenticity, purpose, and commercialization of such religious tools.

The controversy has reignited discussions around the practices of modern-day religious leaders and the growing intersection of faith and financial exploitation.
