Bravo’s Next Gen NYC recently premiered, and the cast seems to be loving the idea of being reality stars. Sadly, Ava Dash now has some bad news as she has been evicted from her apartment after failing to make rent payments for the Manhattan abode. This comes as her dad, Damon Dash, has admitted to having money problems.

Regarding Next Gen NYC, the show also stars Gia Giudice, Ariana Biermann, Riley Burruss, and several other children of famous people as they navigate life in New York City. 

The U.S. Sun is  reporting that Ava was hit with an eviction notice in July 2024 related to her TriBeCa apartment. The landlord stated in the eviction filing that Ava and three other tenants had failed to pay rent for four months. Notably, they owe $9,995 per month. They also owed an additional $3,872.90 toward a fifth month. 

The court documents say, “Respondent(s) have defaulted in the payment thereof and continue in possession of premises without permission after said default.” The owner of the apartment requested that the court issue “a warrant to remove respondents from possession of the premises together with the costs and disbursements of this proceeding.”

The notice of eviction was obtained in October of 2024. It stated, “If you do not vacate the location listed above within 14 days after the date of this notice, you may be evicted without further notice.”

Notably, it’s possible this could play out on the show as a teaser includes an eviction notice on a door but doesn’t allude to whom it relates. The names on the eviction are also blurred out, but it’s now assumed to have been Ava’s. 

Her father, who co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records, has recently admitted to having financial problems. He recently told Vibe, “I’ve had to start [a] new company from scratch, without any money to start it with […] I’m like a proud broke, but it ain’t broke, because I have things to show for it.”

He has also had to sell his one-third stake in the famous record label to settle a lawsuit debt. The New York Post, reported than an anonymous state rep put down $1 million for the share Damon held back in November. 

The state officials reportedly planned to flip the shares to help pay off Damon’s state tax debt in addition to the $193,000 he also owes in child support, likely to his ex-wife Rachel Roy who is Ava’s mom.
