ABINGDON, Va. (WJHL) — Two Abingdon men were arrested following an ongoing narcotics investigation, according to a release from the Washington County, Virginia, Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).

The WCSO’s Special Response Team (SRT), the Holston River Regional Drug Task Force and the Virginia State Police executed a search warrant in the 18000 block of Black Hollow Road and arrested two individuals at the residence.

Kenneth Alan Johnson, 49, was charged with the following, according to the WCSO:

  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute/Sell Methamphetamine (2nd Offense)
  • Conspiracy to Distribute a Schedule 1 or 2 Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)

Johnson is being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail without bond.

Brandon Shane Nickels, 40, was charged with the following, according to the WCSO:

  • Possession of a Schedule 1 or 2 Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine)

Nickels is being held at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail, and his bond was set at $1,000.
