Kamala Harris, who is actively laying the groundwork for a political comeback, recently attempted to have a conversation with Gavin Newsom about the riots in Los Angeles.
Harris, the failed presidential candidate who had every Democratic and media resource at her back during the election, and still lost to Donald Trump, is trying to test the waters for a gubernatorial run in California. The riots seemed like the perfect opportunity.
After all, this involves her voter base – both the criminal illegal aliens being repatriated by ICE and the protesters rioting in the streets.
So, after intently studying the situation by being “glued to local TV news and doom-scrolling,” according to Politico, Harris picked up the phone and called Newsom.
“Unlike most in the city, she’s also been making calls to her mayor, Karen Bass, and Gov. Gavin Newsom,” the outlet writes, citing a person close to the former Veep.
It didn’t go as planned.
“Harris … wasn’t able to connect with him, but left him a voicemail to express support.”
.@GavinNewsom’s not even trying to hide his disdain for Kamala Harris anymore: Harris tried to call Newsom this week, but only made it through to voicemail. Ouch.
