Congratulations are in order for 18-year-old Zaya Wade! The teenager is officially a high school graduate and her dad, NBA legend Dwyane Wade, is celebrating in grand style. 

The proud father posted sweet photos and video of graduation moments in his Instagram stories. 

In the video, Dwyane Wade is seen beaming with pride as he walks over to join his daughter Zaya for a celebratory photo. She clutches an award in her hands while Wade gives her a joyful hug and kiss. Both faher and daughter can be seen smiling from ear to ear. Wade simply captioned simply the moment, “Head of the School.”

Another touching moment shows Wade proudly holding Zaya’s diploma up in the air, adding a playful caption, “We did it, Joe!” The footage then cuts to a close-up of Zaya’s award engraved with, “2024-2025 Head of School’s Award” with her name beneath it.

Wade also shared video of Zaya making her entrance into the graduation ceremony. 

Graduation is not the only milestone that the teen recently celebrated. At the end of May, Zaya officially became an adult, as she rang in her 18th birthday. The Wade’s celebrate the milestone moment with a glamorous birthday ball where she also used the moment to champion LBGTQ+ Advocacy. And of course the teen described the night as “indescribable.”

“It was indescribable,” Zaya said. “Imagine an explosion of love and light wrapped up into one magical night. You’re not even close to what it felt like yet.”

In addition to Zaya, Dwyane Wade is also father to son, Zaire, with whom he shares with his ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches. Wade also shares another son, Xavier, with ex-Aja Metoyer. The NBA legend and actress Gabrielle Union are parents to daughter, Kaavia James, and Wade is also the legal guardian of his nephew, Dahveon Morris.

Congratulations, Zaya! We cannot wait to see what is next for you on this incredible life’s journey.
