Charlie Zakkour‘s past bankruptcy filing has been revealed, confirming he was “unemployed” with just $1,500 in 2023.

After his investment banker father, Anwar Zakkour, questioned his crypto trading, and his roommate, Dylan Geick, admitted he never seemed to have a job on Next Gen NYC, Charlie’s Chapter 7 filing was uncovered, confirming he was in a dire financial place just two years ago.

In a report shared by The U.S. Sun on June 17, it was noted that Charlie, 30, who listed his parents’ penthouse in New York City as his address, claimed to be “not employed” in the filing and suggested he had no assets to sell.

Although he said he would be “getting a new job,” Charlie signaled to his rented apartment as he declared he had no property to his name and just $1,500 in his checking account.

Other items mentioned in the filing included $1,000 in clothing, $2,000 in electronics, including his phone, TV, computer, and scanner, and two credit cards. As noted, Charlie owed $4,809 to American Express and $33,216 to Chase Bank, but was bringing in just $1,000 per month from his family and friends.

The U.S. Sun also stated that Charlie had “no bonds, no mutual funds or publicly traded stocks, no government bonds, no retirement or pension accounts, no annuities, no security deposits owed to him, no education IRA, no trusts, no equitable or future interests, no health or life insurance, no interest in property owed to him from someone who died and no tax refunds owed to him.”

Charlie’s monthly expenses of $1,000, per the filing, included a $110 phone bill, $200 for food and home supplies, $50 for laundry, $50 for personal care, $90 for medical and dental bills, $200 for transportation, and $300 for entertainment and other extracurricular activities.

One year before Charlie’s bankruptcy, he filed taxes claiming he made $32,000 in 2022.

As his case concluded, with his debts discharged, Charlie was ordered to enroll in a personal financial management course and a credit counseling course.

Next Gen NYC season one airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
