Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union recently celebrated two major milestones: Zaya’s high school graduation and Kaavia’s kindergarten sendoff.

The proud parents marked the occasions with joint Instagram tributes, honoring their daughters’ achievements.

To Zaya they wrote, “Zaya, you’ve closed this chapter with such grace and courage. Watching you bloom into the brilliant, bold, and beautiful young woman you are has been a true gift. As you step into this next season, we already know you’ll write it with purpose, passion, and power.”

They continued, “May college be your canvas — and the world, your masterpiece. Congratulations to the Class of 2025! May all your dreams come true.”

Zaya was recognized during the ceremony with the Head of School award before returning later to the stage to receive her diploma.

The 18-year-old also posted a video on her own Instagram, showing herself walking across the stage and captioning it simply, “I did it.”

After the ceremony, Zaya was photographed in a black dress trimmed in white beneath her cap and gown as she posed with family members, including siblings Zaire, 23, and Kaavia, 6, along with cousin Dahveon Morris, 23. Later, she changed into a white, button-down knit dress for a dinner celebration with her loved ones.

Meanwhile, Kaavia James, affectionately known as “Shady Baby”, had her own graduation celebration, donning a blue cap and gown for her kindergarten sendoff.

“From brave beginnings to big milestones, Kaav, you’ve learned, grown, and blazed your way through kindergarten. Next up: 1st grade — and a whole new world of discoveries! The journey is just beginning, and we’re seated right beside for the ride,” the parents wrote.

Wade and Union welcomed Kaavia in 2018. The retired NBA star is also dad to Zaire and Zaya, whom he shares with ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches, and son Xavier, 11, with Aja Metoyer. He is legal guardian to his nephew Dahveon Morris.
