Joe Giudice posted an offensive meme to his Instagram Story on on June 18, the day before Juneteenth, a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States, that is now leading to claims of racism.

After showing support for President Donald Trump, 79, and his MAGA movement, the 53-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey alum and ex-husband of current cast member Teresa Giudice, 53, shared a controversial image targeting former First Lady Michelle Obama, 61.

In the meme, which was originally shared by Real Based Bias on Instagram, former President Barack Obama, 63, asks Trump’s wife, Melania Trump, 55, “How could you have married that man?”

“I was going to ask you the same question!” she replies.

Following the sharing of the post, a Reddit user featured it on the Bravo Housewives thread, along with a stern caption.

“Joe Giudice’s racist post about Michelle Obama,” it read.

Meanwhile, in the comments, users of the social media platform labeled Joe a “bigot” and accused him of transphobia.

“AND THERE IT IS!!! I always knew it would come out one day. I’ve been waiting. There is no way someone like Guidice wouldn’t be racist, especially against Black women,” one person said.

“It’s not just the racism, Joe’s going for the double combo racism with transphobia on top. He’s like a bigotry Avatar,” noted another.

A third signaled to Joe’s past use of the slur “f*gg*t” on RHONJ season three.

“Not surprising that a guy that comfortable being homophobic is also comfortable being racist (and transphobic),” they stated.

Then, after someone else suggested the offensive post was more transphobic than racist, several agreed that it was both.

“Transphobia and racism are linked in that Black women are often stereotyped as being more ‘masculine’ than ‘delicate’ white women,” one person explained.

And another Reddit user wrote, “He’s saying that Michelle Obama, a Black woman is a man.”

“It’s a stereotype where Black women are seen as more masculine than their counterparts,” they added.
