TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The first day of summer will look and feel like it, as it has for the past month or so. Temperatures warm into the low to mid-90s with elevated rain chances.

A few storms are along the coast this morning and will increase in coverage around lunchtime. Storms will be scattered through 4 or 5 pm and then drift west this evening.

Slightly lower rain chances return over the weekend. Although spotty storms will form each day, not as many areas will see rain. Storms develop in the afternoon and drift to ward the coast each evening.

Temperatures will be hot with highs in the low to mid-90s.

More heat and daily showers and storms are in the forecast next week.
