Lincoln Trail Homestead State Park & Memorial holding scavenger hunt

MT. ZION, Ill. (WCIA) — A scavenger hunt is taking place at the Lincoln Trail Homestead State Park and Memorial on Saturday.

Starting at 1 p.m., the Mt. Zion scavenger hunt kicks off at the Railsplitter Pavillion. Participants will use clues to discover nature and history in Lincoln Trail Homestead State Park. This outdoor event is a family activity that offers learning and fun.

The event has no fee and registration is not necessary. This park is about 10 miles straight west of Decatur. To get there, take Route 36 past Harristown to Lincoln Trail Memorial Parkway; go south four miles and the park will be on the east side of the road.
