Joshua Jackson has firmly denied any violation of his custody agreement with ex-wife Jodie Turner-Smith after she accused him of withholding consent for their daughter Juno’s school change.

According to exclusive reporting by US Weekly, Jackson has fired back at Turner-Smith’s accusations that claim that he violated their custody agreement and he is accusing Turner-Smith as the one who is in violation.

The 47-year-old recently told the judge that his ex-wife is the one who is not following the temporary parenting order regarding their five-year-old daughter, Juno, and where she will attend school.

In a previous court filing, Turner-Smith told the court that, “I consistently prioritize Juno’s best interests and value Josh’s input as her father. Since March 2025, I have responded to Josh’s questions on this issue and remained available to meet and confer regarding the school selection for Juno, to resolve this issue amicably with Josh.”

“However, despite my outreach and good faith efforts, Josh ultimately opposed Juno’s enrollment at [the school],” the 38-year-old said. “Separately, through counsel I have made repeated efforts to coordinate a summer and fall custodial schedule with Josh to accommodate both of our work schedules while prioritizing consistency and frequent contact with both parents for Juno.”

A source told US Weekly, “Jodie’s priority is, and has always been, Juno’s well-being — not conflict, not press, and certainly not performative parenting. This is about following agreed terms, and ensuring a shared commitment to coparenting that centers the child.”

Turner-Smith wrote an emotional letter to the Doctor Odyssey star explaining her point-of-view in terms of spending time with her daughter and citing the importance of a Black mother’s role in the life of a biracial child. 

Turner-Smith and the Dawson’s Creek actor tied the knot in August 2019. They welcomed their daughter Juno to the world in April 2020. In October 2023, the couple filed for divorce after four years of marriage.
