Find out what Prince Harry is planning to do that will put King Charles in an awkward dilemma.
After Prince Harry admitted that King Charles is no longer speaking to him, the duke decided to offer his family an “olive branch.” Either that or he’s trying to force his father’s hand and put the royals in an awkward position to make them look bad.
On June 10, 2025, the official Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 social media account posted an update sharing dates of when the Games will take place: “SAVE THE DATES! The Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 are coming: 10th–17th July. Opening Ceremony: 10th July. Closing Ceremony: 17th July.”
While that’s more than two years from now, plans are underway for when the city will host the events and Prince Harry is already put together a guestlist that includes his estranged family.
A source told The Telegraph: “Harry has agreed that Invictus should extend an invitation to his family. Invictus hopes the royal family will come along to support the wounded veterans taking part. Harry is hopeful his father will set aside their differences to attend the Invictus Games and support veterans.
“The royals have always been hugely supportive of Invictus and proud of what Harry has achieved in that arena. This is one olive branch from him which might be reciprocated.”
In other words, if the royals don’t show they’ll look petty and like they don’t support the veterans, making Harry look like the bigger person.
There’s no way of knowing this far out what the royals will do, but there is at least one date that clashes with another in their diary and that is July 17 as it’s Queen Camilla‘s 80th birthday.
So we know that day the royal family will be celebrating with Harry’s stepmother, but we’ll have to wait and see what they RSVP for the rest of the days. It’s almost certain Harry will broadcast their answer, so stay tuned.
