It’s a night of reruns tonight as Scamanda Episode 4 airs from 8:00-9:00 p.m. ET, followed by back-to-back repeats of 9-1-1 (“Don’t Drink The Water” and “Seismic Shifts”).

Will There Be a Season 8 of The Rookie?

Yes! ABC renewed The Rookie for an eighth season back in April 2025. Per Deadline, the upcoming season is expected to consist of 18 episodes.

When Will The Rookie Return?

Unfortunately, The Rookie isn’t on ABC’s upcoming 2025 fall schedule. Just like last season, the network is holding The Rookie and Will Trent for midseason. No official premiere date has been announced, but The Rookie has already started production on Season 8 and is expected to return in January 2026.
