Bachelor Nation fans were holding out hope that Season 29’s The Bachelor, Grant Ellis, found the one when he ultimately chose contestant Juliana Pasquarosa in his finale. Grant was hoping that he would find his future wife after he failed to do so with The Bachelorette Season 21’s Jenn Tran as one of her contestants.

Grant’s season didn’t come without drama, including fans having mixed feelings over Grant choosing Juliana over runner-up Litia Garr. Still, Grant and Juliana appeared happy together, sharing several post-show photos alongside family and friends.

However, less than three months after Grant got down on one knee and proposed to Juliana, the couple called it quits.

Bachelor Nation Responded To Grant Ellis And Juliana Pasquarosa’s Split

While Bachelor Nation fans know that lasting love on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette is a long shot, many were still hopeful that Grant Ellis had found his forever with Juliana Pasquarosa.

However, less than three months after their March finale, Grant announced on Instagram that he and Juliana had decided to split. Given how brief their time together was, Bachelor Nation had mixed reactions with some wishing the former couple well, while others couldn’t resist taking a few digs at their short-lived romance.

Bob Guiney, who was the Season 4 Bachelor, shared on the Almost Famous podcast that Grant’s interview with Us Weekly, in which he stated that he and Juliana were taking their relationship “day by day,” was a major red flag.

“Grant had said that he and Juliana were taking their engagement day by day. Now that, I will tell you, is a telltale, right?” Bob began. “So, one thing I’ve learned from watching these shows over the years and seeing a few months later as people come through, and if they still haven’t set a date or maybe they still haven’t arrived at something. Three months, I think that’s probably a little premature.

“I think everybody’s taking it day by day at that point. They hadn’t even moved in together. I think from that perspective, maybe that’s not as much of a telltale as, as it would have been six months down the road.”

Carolina Quianxo, who was a fellow contestant on Grant’s season, was not afraid to dish how she truly felt about their split — and it wasn’t very nice. Not naming Juliana specifically in her TikTok, she shared:

“My opinion is anyone claiming to be ready for an engagement with the Bachelor without actually going on a one-on-one with that person is probably trying to ‘win The Bachelor’ more than trying to connect with the actual human,” Carolina shared.

“Anyone who goes out of their way to s*** on someone who’s simply saying they’re nervous about the Bachelor potentially meeting their family and how quickly everything is moving because there is an engagement at the end of it, um, probably not a very nice person.”

She added, “My opinion is that then lying and then saying that person had nothing good to say about that date is even worse. Branding yourself as a ‘nice girl’ is probably like you’re trying to overcompensate for something. We all know what you stand for. My opinion is that if she hadn’t been ‘the winner,’ everyone would have seen a very different side to all of this.”

This shouldn’t seem surprising to fans as Carolina beefed with Juliana and a few other ladies on the show. In an interview with Us Weekly, Juliana shared that she would not give in to anyone’s negative criticisms. “This feels like an attempt to turn our breakup into engagement. That’s her choice. As for me, I’m not interested in going back and forth. Eye for an eye isn’t my vibe. I’m focused on healing, staying close to my support system and keeping it all about nice girl energy — always.”

Grant and Juliana Ended Their Relationship After “A Lot Of Deep Conversations”

On June 13th, Grant announced via his Instagram Stories that he and Juliana had decided to part ways. The news came as a shock to fans, as the couple had frequently posted happy, affectionate photos together on social media. In his message, Grant suggested the decision was mutual, sharing that they had “a lot of deep conversations” about what their futures looked like before ultimately deciding to go their separate ways.

“This is one of the harder things I’ve had to write, but I want to share it honestly. Juliana and I have decided to end our relationship,” Grant shared. “We both gave this our best and poured a lot of love into each other, but after a lot of deep conversations, we’ve come to the understanding that we’re simply not the right fit long term.”

He continued, “I’ll always be grateful for what we shared and for the growth that came with it,” Grant added. “Thank you to everyone who supported us and believed in our journey. This chapter is closing, but we’re both walking away with love and respect in our hearts.”

Just days later, both Grant and Juliana shared separate Instagram posts about how they have both grown from their Bachelor experience.

Grant’s post read: “I think the most important thing above all , is to remain true to yourself. Even if things don’t work out the way you originally planned , God always has a plan. The internet is a funny place of different peoples opinions and that’s ok … everyone is entitled to that . But regardless of the rumors or what people may think or the pressure that come with being seen. The main thing for me is to be the reason somebody believes in good. Life has a funny way of shaping character and to grow from experiences is a personal choice. And for me … im always going to choose growth 🤘🏾”

Jeremy Simon, who was a contestant along with Grant on Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette, commented with two clapping hand emojis.

Just a day later, Juliana took to her Instagram where she shared similar thoughts about growing as a person thanks to her experience on the show. She also thanked Grant for opening her “heart and mind to new experiences and new love.”

“Closing this chapter with a healing heart and a quiet kind of peace. Not because it was all easy, but because I made it through with grace and growth.”

“I’m proud of who I’ve become because I’ve worked through what’s tried to break me. I choose happiness every day because I’ve experienced what it feels like to lose it and what kind of fight it takes to get it back. “

“I am so thankful for the opportunity that The Bachelor & Grant gave me to open my heart & mind to new experiences and new love. The community of people who watched & supported my journey is something I am eternally grateful for. I hope we can move forward together and bring more love into this world, because that’s what we all need more of

Like Grant, Juliana also got support from a former Bachelor star. Daisy Kent, who was in the final running on Joey Graziadei’s season, commented on Juliana’s post with, “Very proud of you, beautiful person inside & out 💓💓💓.”

Juliana also set the record straight about her engagement ring when a person commented, “I hope u GAVE BACK HIS RING.”

Juliana expertly replied with: “the one the show paid for? Signed, sealed & delivered safely back to production.”
