Fox News is getting a Gen Z glow up, bringing on rising online star Brett Cooper to provide her insights on the conservative-leaning network, the Daily Mail can exclusively report.

The 23-year-old first came into right-wing prominence as the host of Daily Wire’s podcast, The Comments Section, which she hosted from January 2022 until December 2024.

She still hosts The Brett Cooper Show on her independent YouTube channel, which boasts 1.58 million followers, where discusses current events, pop culture, politics, generational shifts and relationships – all from a young, conservative perspective.

Cooper, however, is now an exclusive contributor to Fox News, where the age of the average viewer is 69 years young, according to the most recent Nielsen data.

The Gen Z conservative personality will make her debut in her new role on The Will Cain Show in the 4:00 p.m. hour on Fox News Channel on Wednesday.

A person familiar with the industry told the Daily Mail that while Cooper wasn’t hired to attract a different audience, it’s very likely that she will help Fox reach a younger generation that doesn’t usually tune-in to network television.

Millennial and Generation Z audiences are much less likely to turn or even subscribe to cable television.

A Morning Consult poll found that just 27 to 30 percent of Gen Z tune-in to broadcast or cable news sources weekly. Most – 63 percent – get their news from social media, which is where Cooper came to fame.

Fellow conservative media personality Riley Gaines joins Cooper as part of the small group of Gen Z talent swept up by Fox.

Gaines is a former collegiate swimmer known for her activism campaigning against biological men competing in women’s sports.

She retired from swimming and since 2023 has hosted the Outkick podcast Gaines for Girls. She also regularly appears on Fox News programming and has done work with Fox Nation in the past.

Just last week, Gaines posted an image with Cooper to her Instagram with both boasting their pregnant bellies.

‘Just two gals growing babies,’ Gaines captioned the image with her now-fellow Fox star.

Cooper is also joining a roster of other young talent on the right-leaning network, including Lawrence Jones, Trey Yingst and Bill Melugin, to name a few millennials signed with Fox.

Cooper was born in Washington state, but was raised in her earlier years in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

When she was just 10, Cooper relocated to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. At 15 she hired a lawyer and got herself emancipated.

She studied at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), from where she obtained her major in English literature. She also obtained a minor in business from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.

Before and while growing in the conservative commentary world, Cooper had some minor roles in a few television shows and movies.

She is starring as Snow White in The Daily Wire’s version of the classic, which is still listed as in production.

Cooper currently lives outside of Nashville, Tennessee with her husband, Alex Tombul, whom she married in April 2024. They have several farm animals.

In a May post to her 1.3 million Instagram followers, Cooper announced she is pregnant with their first child.
