Summer House fans have spent nine seasons watching Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s relationship evolve from late-night hookups to husband and wife. They’ve become a fan-favorite Bravo couple, keeping the Hamptons weekend parties alive season after season, while Amanda’s close-knit friendships with Paige DeSorbo and Ciara Miller have delivered both hilarious moments and true sisterhood.

But, like any couple, Kyle and Amanda have faced their fair share of challenges — one of the biggest being their differing views on starting a family. During the Season 9 reunion, Amanda opened up about wanting children with someone who’s truly ready, subtly calling out Kyle for prioritizing his career. It’s a conversation that’s likely to carry over in the upcoming tenth season.

Kyle Cooke Hints A Baby Might Put A Pause On His And Amanda Batula’s Summer House Appearances

Summer House stars and married couple Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula are starting to look at their future, especially when it comes to starting a family. Married since September 2021, the two have been open about their desire to have children, but those plans may cause them to take a step back from their reality TV show.

In a new interview with Page Six, the couple discussed their future on the show, which had just ended its ninth season. However, Kyle hinted that the end could be near if he and Amanda start having children.

“I think over time, I’m sure, things will evolve but, like, until there’s a kid in the mix, hey, we’re going to hold the fort.”

Amanda and Kyle have not held back about discussing children in the future. In Season 9, Kyle shared his fertility test results with his housemates after being concerned that he may not be able to have children. “There’s always a chance that, like, I’m sterile, right? But also, in the back of my mind, I’m thinking about Amanda potentially ruling out kids forever. So, there’s a lot riding on my sperm count,” he had confessed.

Kyle Cooke is 42 and Amanda Batula is 33.

It was great news for Kyle, who learned that his sperm count was well over the minimum for having children. Despite the good news, Kyle was still skeptical about Amanda wanting kids. When housemates West Wilson asked Amanda her thoughts on starting a family, she shared, “We’ve had many conversations about it, but we’re just not there yet. Not there yet at all.”

Tensions rose during the Season 9 reunion when the topic of kids came up. Amanda admitted that Kyle’s nonstop focus on work was a big reason why she wasn’t ready to start a family. In response, Kyle explained that his drive was rooted in wanting to build a stable future for them and their future family they hope to have one day.

“I’m ready to have kids with someone who’s ready to have kids with me,” Amanda told Kyle.

Kyle Cooke And Amanda Batula Confirm Their Season 10 Return

After the conclusion of Season 9 of Summer House, fans wondered whether many of the OGs would return as they continue to get older and focus on other career opportunities. But, in June, both Kyle and Amanda confirmed with Page Six that they would be back as main stars for the upcoming tenth season.

“Yes, we’re coming back,” Kyle shared. “We feel very lucky to keep doing our thing. I think it should be a good summer.”

Fans can expect more of Kyle and Amanda’s epic Hamptons parties in the upcoming season, but there’s more on the horizon than just their iconic themed parties. Fans can expect the couple to dive into deeper conversations about their future, which will certainly include talks about having children, along with Kyle balancing his booming beverage line, LoverBoy, and Amanda’s new venture into swimwear.

However, when Amanda spoke to Variety in June, she shared that she was “fine” with Summer House possibly letting go of the veterans, which include her and Kyle, Carl Radke and Lindsay Hubbard, for a new, younger cast. That means fans would have to look to social media to keep up with these OGs if they are given the boot.

“I think Summer House in particular can go one of two ways,” she said. “It can evolve with the current cast, or we can sort of split off, ‘The Valley’-style. I’m not in control of that. I don’t know how long I’ll be asked back for. I think it just depends on what direction Summer House goes. You hear the fans talking a lot about wanting a younger group of people. Fine by me. Take ’em, people who love to party.”

Rumors have been swirling that Amanda may join Paige (who recently announced her departure from the show after five seasons), along with Lindsay and Ciara Miller, in a potential spinoff. The concept which could mirror Sex and the City could be the perfect next chapter for the older group. Much like The Valley, spun off from Vanderpump Rules, this new series might be right up their alley.

If Kyle and Amanda do decide to start a family, they might take a few cues from their housemate, Lindsay, who’s returning to Season 10 despite recently becoming a mom. Lindsay revealed her pregnancy to her cast on Season 9, and later welcomed her daughter, Gemma, in December 2024.

Fans believed that Lindsay would step away from Summer House after welcoming her daughter. However, she recently revealed on Instagram that she’s going to return. Does that mean fans will see Gemma making her way to the Hamptons house as well?

In an Instagram post featuring behind-the-scenes photos from filming Season 9, Lindsay captioned it, “BFFR of course I’m coming back this summer 💃🏼 (it’s just going to look a little different for me since I’m a whole a** mom now 🤱🏼) #SummerHouse #SendIt.” In her comment section, Amanda, wrote, “Let’s f****** goooooooooooo.”

When Lindsay spoke to Vulture back in April, she revealed that she would not visit the Hamptons every single weekend, which had fans thinking she may end up being downgraded from a main cast member. “[I’m] of course down to film this summer. Obviously, I’m not going to bring a 6-month-old to the house every weekend,” she told the outlet.

However, Lindsay has since made it known that she’s going to be back for more fun memories with her housemates. As of this writing, those that have confirmed their return also include Lindsay’s ex, Carl Radke. Meanwhile, Ciara Miller, Gabby Prescod, Jesse Soloman, and West Wilson have not yet confirmed their return.

Those who are officially out for Season 10 include Paige DeSorbo, Imrul Hassan, and Lexi Wood.
