JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An elderly couple was found shot dead inside an Arlington home Wednesday morning, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
Police said around 7:40 a.m., officers responded to a home off Clements Woods Lane regarding two people found unresponsive.
Officers found a man and a woman between the ages of 75 and 80 suffering from gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.


Homicide detectives responded to the scene to investigate. Police said the initial investigation indicates the shooting is an isolated incident and officials are not looking for any outstanding suspects at this time.
JSO Homicide Sergeant Steve Rudlaff said that a handgun was found inside the home, and noted that it appeared one of the victims had used the weapon. Police said the victims are most likely husband and wife.
The couple’s caretaker found them and alerted police.
The investigation is ongoing.
