BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) — A man from Virginia Beach reportedly traveled to Bristol, Virginia, to meet a 13-year-old girl at a hotel, according to police.

The Bristol, Virginia Police Department (BVPD) announced that officers began an investigation on Tuesday regarding a missing 13-year-old girl.

The girl was later found by authorities at a Bristol, Virginia hotel where she reportedly met a 30-year-old man.

The man, identified by police as Truong Dinh Nguyen, had “traveled to Bristol specifically for this meeting with the juvenile,” the BVPD stated.

Nguyen was arrested and charged with one count of carnal knowledge of a child between the ages of 15 and 13.

As of Wednesday, he’s being held without bond at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
