Amid rumors that Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have ended their relationship, sources are reporting that Bloom plans to go solo at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding. Perry’s fans are not impressed with this. Bloom reportedly did not approve of Perry’s trip to space with Bezos’ Blue Origin. As a result, fans have slammed him for attending the wedding without Perry.

Orlando Bloom reportedly did not approve of Katy Perry’s space trip

On April 14, 2025, Perry traveled to space with a group of six women, including Sanchez and Gayle King. The trip drew a great deal of online jokes and criticism. According to the U.S. Sun, Bloom “did not think going on the mission was a good idea.”

Bloom was reportedly “frustrated” with Perry because he knew there would be backlash.

“From day one, Orlando didn’t think going on the Blue Origin mission was a good idea, and knew she would face backlash,” the source said. “He always thought it was a stupid idea and she wouldn’t get anything positive out of it.”

Some have speculated that the space trip led to their reported split. While the couple has not confirmed the rumors, a number of sources have said they are no longer together.

Katy Perry’s fans are calling Orlando Bloom a hypocrite for attending Jeff Bezos’ wedding

Because Bloom reportedly disapproved of the space trip, Perry’s fans have taken issue with the fact that he plans to attend Bezos and Sanchez’s wedding. Sanchez also went to space, and Bezos’ company took them there.

“Crying to the tabloids about her space trip only to go hang out with the very guy whose ship it is…. Ok,” wrote one Reddit user.

“He was upset about her space decision, but he’ll let Benzo [sic] take over Venice for his second wedding?” wrote another person.

Even people who don’t particularly like Perry are rolling their eyes at Bloom.

“I am by no means a Katy defender because some of the backlash she got is warranted and I hope she grows from it,” wrote one person. “However. How dare this man write to the tabloids complaining about her space trip and in the same breath brag about partying with the same people ruining the planet. Make it make sense. The disloyalty was bad enough- but the audacity and the hypocrisy are ticking me off. Pipe down Legolas.”

Bloom’s former fans have said they can no longer support him, and feel “disgusted” by his “aggravating” behavior.

He reportedly could act like a single man at the wedding

Perry’s fans were responding to reports that Bloom planned to live it up at Bezos’ wedding. 

“90% of the people at the wedding are kinda boring, but 10% are really fun, including Orlando, Leo [DiCaprio] and Jeff (Bezos),” a source told TMZ. “It’s gonna be a great party!”

The source said Bloom could be making his debut as a single man at the wedding.

“He’s the life of the party and he’s gonna hit the dance floor hard!”
