Rimes called the incident “the most epic experience ever,” saying she had no choice but to continue singing through the embarrassment.

WASHINGTON — LeAnn Rimes is sharing what happened during a recent onstage mishap when her teeth fell out in the middle of a concert.

The country-pop star was performing her 1996 hit “One Way Ticket (Because I Can)” at The Skagit Casino Resort over the weekend when she suddenly rushed offstage, later revealing she felt something pop in her mouth.

“I feel something pop in my mouth,” Rimes recounted in an Instagram video. “If you’ve been around, you know I’ve had a lot of dental surgeries and I have a bridge in the front, and it fell out in the middle of my song last night.”

Instead of cancelling the show, the 42-year-old ran offstage to reinsert the bridge and returned to finish the set, while discreetly trying to keep her teeth in place between lyrics.

“I literally was like this, pushing my teeth in,” she said, mimicking the gesture.

Rimes called the incident “the most epic experience ever,” saying she had no choice but to continue singing through the embarrassment.

“There wasn’t a … thing I could do about it except either walk off or just hold my teeth in and sing, so I just ran with it,” she said. “The show can go on, even in the midst of sheer, utter embarrassment. You just gotta be real with people.”

Rimes has been open in the past regarding her dental health struggles. She previously filed a malpractice lawsuit in 2013 against her former dentist, citing chronic pain and complications from veneers.

According to Billboard, she has undergone 29 dental procedures.

“I don’t usually have firsts in my career. That was a first, and hopefully a last,” Rimes, who has several more tour dates in the U.S. this summer, added.
