Lola Consuelos shares 'amazing' fashion advice mom Kelly Ripa once gave her

Kelly Ripa is full of fashion knowledge.

On the most recent episode of “Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa,” Lola Consuelos, the 24-year-old daughter of the longtime talk show host, remembered some valuable style advice her mother had given her.

“Is there any piece of advice that I gave you when you were young that you thought was such bulls—t, and then you were like, ‘Oh my God, my mom was right,’” Ripa asked Consuelos on the podcast.

“You’ve given me so many meaningful pieces of advice,” the budding singer responded. “One of them being don’t wear leggings as pants. That was amazing.”

Ironically, the 24-year-old happened to be wearing leggings during the recording; however, when her mom pointed it out, she clarified, “I worked out. That’s why.”

Consuelos seems to totally trust her mom’s fashion instincts, so much so that she borrows pieces from her closet.

Last August, for instance, she wore Ripa’s 30-year-old dress at the 2024 Disney Legends Awards.

“That dress that Lola was wearing is 30 years old,” Ripa said on an episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark,” adding, “That was my dress from 30 years ago. So I thought that was pretty cool.”

On the show, Ripa jokingly said to her husband, Mark Consuelos, “See? Price per wear!”

Consuelos has gleaned other important life lessons from her mom, too, especially “just being nice and respectful and kind.”

She further explained on the podcast, “It’s been really valuable and I forget that a lot of people don’t get that foundational advice that should be like a baseline of respect.

Some people don’t have that, which blows my mind. But it’s amazing that you guys raised the boys and I so amazingly.”
