After a stunning upset in the heated New York City Democratic mayoral primary, we hear that Andrew Cuomo is headed on a weekend getaway with an unnamed gal pal.
A source told Page Six of the former New York governor: “Cuomo has a romantic weekend getaway planned with his girlfriend” in the wake of his primary loss Tuesday.
It’s unclear who the love interest is — and reps for the pol did not get back to us.
We reported back in 2023 that Cuomo was spotted out at Westport, Conn., restaurant Nômade dining with “a tall blond,” whom he was introducing as his girlfriend.
He’d also been spotted a year before with a “blond mystery woman” and a group of friends out in Chelsea at the McKittrick Hotel until 1 a.m., spies said.
Cuomo, 67, was in a 14-year relationship with Food Network star Sandra Lee. The pair split in 2019.
Despite any weekend break, Cuomo could stay in the race, The Post reported, remaining on the mayoral ballot to run on his Fight and Deliver party line in the general election. But it remains unclear whether Cuomo will actually mount a campaign.
Cuomo conceded on Tuesday after dark-horse Democratic Socialist candidate Zohran Mamdani, who has represented parts of Queens in the state Assembly for four years, racked up a viable lead and seemingly knocked out the political scion for the nomination.
“Tonight was not our night,” Cuomo said as the results came in, praising Mamdani’s grassroots campaign.
Cuomo had entered the race in March as a clear front-runner, but saw his polling steadily slip away as Mamdani waged a social media-friendly campaign.
Sources told The Post they were baffled that Cuomo lost a 40-point polling lead despite raking in more than $25 million between his own war chest and super PACs.
No wonder he needs some time away.
