BUCHANAN COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — Three individuals from the Rowe area of Buchanan County were arrested Friday after police discovered illegal narcotics and several assets allegedly purchased with drug sale profits, according to the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office.
After executing a search warrant, the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office said it seized “significant quantities of illegal narcotics” that included fentanyl, mushrooms, cocaine and marijuana.
In addition, several items believed to have been purchased with proceeds from illegal drug sales were confiscated, including five vehicles, three motorcycles, a side-by-side utility vehicle, two trailers, and numerous firearms.
As a result, three individuals were taken into custody:
· Joseph Cyle Keen, 65 years old of Rowe, VA
· Wanda Lou Keen, 65 years old of Rowe, VA
· Nicholas Cyle Keen, 38 years old of Rowe, VA
Each individual was charged with one count of Distribution of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance and one count of Conspiracy to Distribute a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance.
Additional charges are expected as the investigation progresses. Further details regarding the quantities of narcotics recovered and the estimated value of seized assets will be released next week, according to the sheriff’s office.
The three individuals are being held without bond at the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail Authority Haysi Facility. An arraignment hearing is scheduled for July 7.
