Savannah Chrisley provided ongoing support to her formerly incarcerated parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley.

But Todd, 56, admitted that he couldn’t return the favor unconditionally, revealing that he didn’t watch Savannah, 27, on season 11 of The Masked Singer in 2024 as the Afghan Hound.

While appearing in an interview during ABC News Studios’ The Chrisleys: Life After Lockup, released on Sunday, June 29, Todd poked fun at his daughter’s abilities. “I missed The Masked Singer because I was embarrassed for her,” he said, per Entertainment Weekly. “I knew she was going to do it, but she cannot sing.”

The admission sparked laughter from Julie, 52, who then said she “watched it” while the couple served time behind bars after being convicted of bank and tax fraud offenses. Todd and Julie, who were originally sentenced to a combined 19 years of prison time, were pardoned by President Donald Trump in May. (The pair served just over two years each.)

Todd Chrisley broke his silence about being released from prison following a presidential pardon from Donald Trump. “I want to thank first and foremost my lord and savior because that’s who got me through it,” Todd, 55, said at a press conference on Friday, May 30, before addressing his daughter Savannah Chrisley. “She has fought […]

Savannah took no offense to Todd’s admission, labeling herself “awful” as a singer while appearing alongside her parents in the news special.

Todd was quick to assure viewers that he was proud of his daughter’s decision to join the cast of The Masked Singer. “I guess the beautiful part of that is she went and did that, and she didn’t care how bad she was,” he said during the interview, per Entertainment Weekly.

The ABC News Studios’ program arrived on the back of a string of interviews conducted by the family in light of Todd and Julie’s newfound freedom. During a Saturday, June 28, interview that appeared on My View With Lara Trump, Todd revealed that his son, Grayson, 19, asked to sleep in his and Julie’s room the first night after returning to Tennessee from prison. (The couple were held behind bars in federal facilities within Florida and Kentucky, and both parties have always maintained their innocence.)

Savannah Chrisley recalled her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, hitting an “all-time low” before they were granted a presidential pardon from Donald Trump. “I had just reached a point of, like, I’ve done everything I can do. At this point, there’s nothing more I can do,” Savannah, 27, explained on My View with Lara Trump […]

“He came in and he said, ‘Can I sleep with you tonight?,’” Todd said, to which he agreed. In addition to Grayson and Savannah, Todd and Julie are parents to Chase, 29, and Chloe, 12, who is the adopted biological daughter of Todd’s eldest son, Kyle, 33. (Todd shares two children from a previous marriage.)

Savannah expanded on Todd’s recollection of Grayson’s request, telling Fox News host Lara Trump, who is married to President Trump’s son, Eric Trump, “The first night [Grayson] said, ‘I’m scared to go to sleep because I feel like I’m just going to wake up in the morning and they’re not going to be here.’”

Savannah Chrisley got emotional while waiting to take her father, Todd Chrisley, home from prison. Savannah, 27, spoke with reporters outside the Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida on Wednesday, May 28, when Todd, 56, regained his freedom after being pardoned by President Donald Trump the day prior.  “Honestly, this process has been absolutely insane,” […]

The Saturday interview also included Savannah’s reflections on her parents’ mental wellbeing prior to receiving a presidential pardon. She said that Todd and Julie thought that their only path to freedom was in President Trump winning last November’s election.

“On a personal level, we watched the election together, and [Grayson] got to vote in the election for the first time,” Savannah recalled. “When we were watching it and saw the president win, we both started sobbing and he just grabbed me and hugged me because we knew that was our only way out.”
