Alexia Nepola is known for bringing the heat to Miami on The Real Housewives of Miami. Many Bravo fans have compared the original Housewife to The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice due to their cunning nature and outspoken points of views. Speaking the truth was exactly what Alexia did in the second episode of Season 7, when she unleashed on her ex-husband Todd Nepola.

The mother of two shocked castmates when she shared that Todd had skillfully moved out and filed for divorce without her knowledge. Now, the Housewife isn’t letting anything slide and is unleashing some surprising truths about their relationship.

Alexia Nepola Shared That She And Todd Nepola Weren’t Truthful About Their Lifestyle

Alexia and Todd Nepola’s relationship has been shown thoroughly on The Real Housewives of Miami. The couple got engaged in 2019 before marrying in 2021. In a shocking twist, Todd pulled the rug out from under Alexia’s feet and filed for divorce in the spring of 2024, according to Bravo. Alexia shared her shock and dismay with the Housewives in Season 7.

While heartbroken, Alexia has been going through the stages of grief on the show, including anger. After a few too many drinks with friends, Alexia broke the fourth wall and shared intimate details about the issues in their marriage.

Alexia told her castmates (per Bravo), “I said, ‘Todd, I will step down from the show. … You and my family are more important. I see myself with you for the rest of my life.’ And then he goes, ‘Well, it’s too late already.'”

The further Alexia thought about it, the more she realized that Todd didn’t like the way the “public saw him.” She concluded, “The show bothered him because he couldn’t control it.” Because Todd couldn’t control the narrative that the two of them portrayed, he back-pedaled on their relationship, realizing he couldn’t live a life in the spotlight.

Things got juicier when Alexia admitted their life was fake. “All of this is temporary. I live in your fake rented apartment. I drive your fake rented car.” The Housewife sobbed thinking about the time she wasted with someone she and her sons trusted.

Although Alexia cried to her friends and broke the fourth wall about her relationship with Todd, the couple was far from finished. As it turned out, the two reconnected and have been on-and-off ever since Todd filed for divorce. The beginning of their relationship saga plays out in Season 7.

Where Do Alexia And Todd Nepola Stand Today?

Bravo reported that Alexia and Todd Nepola’s divorce was finalized in March 2025, but that didn’t mean that the two stopped their romantic relationship.

“After thoughtful reflection, Todd and I have reached an amicable divorce settlement. While our marriage has legally ended, our relationship has not,” the Housewife told PEOPLE. “We continue to love and support each other as we navigate this next chapter. We appreciate the understanding, love, and support from our family, friends, and fans.”

As seen in the series and at BravoCon 2024, Alexia continued telling people she was married or in a relationship despite Todd’s filing. “Todd and I are trying to figure things out,” she told PEOPLE. “We’re still working on getting better and getting stronger and figuring it out because we really do love each other a lot.”

The couple is clearly attracted to one another, but on a June 19, 2025, showing of Watch What Happens Live, Alexia shared the two were finished. “So currently, we’re not together,” she told Andy Cohen. However, she did share the two had been intimate in the coming days of WWHL. “It was raw, it was emotional, it was so hard. Like, you don’t understand.”

Their complicated relationship got dirtier when Todd dragged Alexia on Instagram after a fan commented, “The wife of a friend is saying she is driving his fake car, living in his fake apartment. What should she do?” In response, Todd wrote, “That depends — does she bring anything to the table in the relationship or is she just there to get things?”

As if things weren’t already confusing, Distractify reported that Todd bought a $4.2 million apartment in the same building as Alexia. The website does report that he bought the apartment last year before things were finalized in their relationship, making move-in day all the more awkward.

So, where do Alexia and Todd stand today? A few days after Watch What Happens aired, Alexia told US Weekly that things were “good” between the two. “Things are good. We’re a work in progress. We’re working on us, and you know, it’s really hard when you’re showing your life on TV and with the world.” She continued, “You see the highs and lows, but you don’t know the whole story.”
