LIBERTY COUNTY, Ga. () — The Liberty County School superintendent bid farewell to students, staff and parents on his final day as superintendent Monday.
Franklin Perry, PhD, joined the Liberty County School System (LCSS) in 2018 as superintendent. He said his greatest career accomplishment has been the honor of serving in his role.
“I am proud to say that we have accomplished way more than I could imagine, made meaningful progress, and left the district in a stronger place,” Perry said.
He thanked the LCSS parents for their support and students for “consistently exceeding expectations and exemplifying Excellence in Everything” they did.
Debra Frazier was appointed as the interim superintendent by the Board of Education.
“I encourage everyone to give her your full support as she steps into this important role,” Perry said. “When the Board selects a permanent Superintendent, I also encourage you to support him or her in moving the district forward.”
Even though he is retiring, Perry said he will remain in the area and be available if anyone needs help.
