TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Coastal showers have already been moving onshore this morning and will continue to increase in coverage throughout the day. Off and on downpours continue through tomorrow with rain possible at any time of the day, but it won’t rain all day.

Temperatures will be in the mid and upper 80s with an extra muggy feel to the air.

The fourth of July forecast is not a washout, although there will be plenty of downpours around at times, throughout the day. There will also be periods of dry time as well. Rain chances will be coming down through the late evening hours but unfortunately there will likely be a few showers lingering for some during firework celebrations.

The rain chances will continue to come down over the weekend with mainly afternoon showers expected each day, moving inland through the afternoon. It will be warm and muggy with highs int he mid and upper 80s.

The tropical moisture in place this weekend will begin to pull away next week as the area of low pressure moves into the Atlantic. This low pressure could develop into a tropical depression over the weekend or early next week, as it moves away. The NHC is giving it a 50% chance of developing over the next seven days.

The only impacts to the Tampa Bay area will be the elevated rain chances over the next few days.
