Similarly, Nikki Garcia explaining why “Boston” Rob lasted so long and Danielle Reyes explaining the reason behind her controversial first murder took fans by surprise.

Of course, fans also tend to be shocked each time a new season’s cast is announced. For example, nobody expected Donna Kelce to be cast on the show, especially since her famous son, Travis Kelce, had previously revealed why he was “out” on The Traitors.

That article quotes Travis talking about The Traitors from a bonus episode of his “New Heights” podcast that he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. During that bonus podcast episode, Travis stated that he was done watching The Traitors.

At the time that Travis made that remark, it appeared to be in response to the show’s third season that was airing at the time.

Of course, that begs an obvious question. Why did Travis decide that he wasn’t interested in watching The Traitors any longer?

During the bonus podcast episode, Travis explained that he thought that seasons of The Traitors were too repetitive.

In response to Travis’ comments, Jason Kelce agreed that The Traitors is too repetitive, according to Us Weekly’s article. However, Travis wasn’t done expressing his complaints about The Traitors Season 3.

During the bonus podcast episode, Travis stated that he didn’t want to say anything negative about The Traitors’ Season 3 stars. “I don’t want to s*** on other reality TV stars.” However, Travis went on to complain about how The Traitors portrays former Survivor players.

“I don’t want to get force-fed how good this person was on Survivor. That s*** pisses me off every single time. I’m not trying to hear any of that s***.”

Travis stating that he was “out” on The Traitors was certainly a switch for the famous athlete.

A September 2024 Us Weekly article revealed that during another episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Travis had revealed that he was a fan of The Traitors at that time. Furthermore, Travis stated that he skipped the first season of The Traitors and jumped into watching the second. Finally, in September 2024, Travis told his brother Jason that he would be great if he competed on The Traitors.

What Have Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce, And Kylie Kelce Said About Donna Kelce Joining The Cast Of The Traitors Season 4?

In June 2025, Us Weekly published an article about the Kelce Family’s reactions to Donna Kelce’s The Traitors casting. That article revealed that Donna Kelce’s sons and daughter-in-law have spoken out about her reality TV debut.

According to Us Weekly, Travis joked about his mom’s The Traitors casting while attending the 2025 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in France. At first, Travis joked that fans hadn’t seen Donna’s “evil side,” before admitting that doesn’t exist.

Travis also stated that he was “anxious to see” how Donna fares on The Traitors.

Us Weekly’s article revealed that at the same event, Jason Kelce also commented on Donna joining the cast of The Traitors Season 4.

Similar to his brother, Jason commented that he was “very looking forward to seeing how she does.” Jason also described himself as feeling “cautiously pessimistic” about Donna’s chances on The Traitors.

Unlike Donna’s son, her daughter-in-law was more specific about what she expects during The Traitors Season 4. During an episode of her “Not Gonna Lie” podcast, as Us Weekly’s article reveals, Kylie explained what she thought Donna’s weakness or strength during The Traitors would be.

“I am not gonna lie though, her innocence and honesty is working against her. Or for her? Ooo, if she’s a Faithful, maybe it works for her. We’re all on the edge of our seats. I’m excited. Come on, Donna! Win it!”

Either way, Kylie made it clear that she will watch and support Donna on The Traitors. “I guess I’m gonna have to watch the next season of Traitors. That’s right, Donna Kelce, my mother-in-law, is on this coming season of Traitors. Have I watched Traitors? Not a whole season. Am I excited to watch Donna? A thousand percent. I’mma cheer her on till the end of time.”
