Barbora Krejcikova, the reigning Wimbledon titleholder, was defeated by the 10th seeded player Emma Navarro with a score of 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 during the third round on Saturday. This loss contributed to the trend of unexpected departures by top players at the prestigious All England Club.

Krejcikova faded in the third set, getting her blood pressure checked at the changeover after Navarro broke her to lead 3-2 at No. 1 Court.

During the match, Krejcikova had a medical check where she consumed a banana and stayed hydrated, while Navarro utilized the break to communicate with her coach in the guest box.
