FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A man riding a motorcycle Saturday afternoon in Flagler County died after the bike overturned, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 4:13 p.m. as the man traveled south on County Road 201 (John Anderson Highway) in unincorporated Flagler County, not far from Flagler Beach, troopers said.

According to an FHP crash report, the motorcyclist — identified as a 68-year-old Flagler Beach man — failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. The motorcycle left the roadway onto the right grass shoulder and overturned, causing the man to fall from the bike, the report states.

The man was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to FHP. Troopers believe he was not wearing a helmet during the crash.
