Alex Cooper booed by Cubs fans after seventh-inning stretch performance

At least the Cubs were up 11-0 against the Cardinals when Alex Cooper got on the mic during Sunday’s game in Chicago.

The host of the popular podcast “Call Her Daddy” faced harsh boos from the crowd when attempting to lead the singing of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” at Wrigley Field during the seventh-inning stretch.

“You’ve never seen something like this before,” Cooper said before she belted out the lyrics in overly dramatic fashion.

The boos only got louder as she continued her rendition of the classic baseball tune.

Cooper, who couldn’t contain her laughter, was lifted in the air by her two friends and backup dancers at the end of the performance.

Some said they were disappointed the Cubs and ESPN gave Cooper airtime.

Others described the moment as “cringey” and “brutal” to watch as Cooper’s cameo was aired on the Jumbotron.

Barstool Sports, Cooper’s former employer, posted the booing video on its social media.

The Cubs maintained their 11-0 lead for the win.

Cooper’s appearance at the game was all part of her “Big Al’s Takeover” with the Cubs.

As part of a special ticket promotion, fans were able to get an exclusive souvenir jersey, which was worn by Cooper during the seventh-inning stretch on Sunday.

The day prior, Cooper threw a massive party with her Unwell company at Recess bar, where Dillon Francis DJ’d.

Another memorable moment occurred at Wrigley Field over the weekend when Alvin Kamara, standout running back for the New Orleans Saints, threw the ceremonial first pitch before the Cubs-Cardinals game on Saturday.

After a botched first attempt — Kamara threw the ball in the dirt and nearly outside the left batter’s box — the five-time Pro Bowler redeemed himself on his second try.

Cooper’s takeover at Wrigley Field comes nearly one month after the premiere of her Hulu docuseries “Call Her Alex.”

In the two-part program, Cooper alleged she was sexually harassed by Boston University soccer coach Nancy Feldman as a member of the team in college.

It was reported in June that Boston University said it would hire an external law group to look into the university’s athletics department’s policies in the wake of the claims.
