Top Democrat Hakeem Jeffries mocked after getting busted in Photoshop fail

Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has been criticized for sharing a manipulated photo of himself on Instagram. The picture, taken in Brooklyn and captioned “Home Sweet Home,” shows a bench significantly altered around his hips.

John Dorsey, a fitness influencer known as Goob, was among those accusing Jeffries of editing the image to misrepresent his physique, adding to the backlash against the New York Democrat.

“You’ve got a terrible social media team, my man. Work on those editing skills,” photographer Kiel Phillips commented in response.

“Bro why did you photoshop your hips? Or are park benches in [Brooklyn] wavy like that?” asked Petey Pablo.

Despite the criticism, Jeffries has not addressed the accusations publicly or clarified the origins of the distorted image.

Goob said you’d “have to be a massive clown” to be a well-known politician posting such a photo and not expect people to notice.

He believes the prominent congressman was trying to look taller.

“Hakeem, it’s OK to be a short king – you don’t have to edit your photos to make yourself look taller. In fact, it’s more embarrassing than just being a short king,” he said in a video posted to Instagram.

“Whatever you’re doing in this is bizarre and uncalled for,” he said chuckling.

Dorsey noted two other of Jeffries’ past Instagram posts where the background also appears warped, possibly indicating they were also edited.

“If you’re a grown man willing to lie about your height, what else are you willing to lie about?” a user named Rodney commented on Jeffries’ post.

Jeffries does not appear to have addressed the controversy, and has kept the image up on Instagram for his nearly 700,000 followers.
